I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before that I don’t think I’ve ever regretted getting up early to go take photos even if I don’t come away with any keepers.
I had a reminder of this last Thursday when I took a quick spin to the Gearagh in Co. Cork to catch the sunrise.
Luckily the sun comes up about 8.30am at the moment so I didn’t have to get up at a crazy hour to make it down in time but it still felt like a slog, especially after sleeping in most mornings of the Christmas holidays.
I didn't get great footage (I put the best of it together below) and no photos that I was very happy with but still found myself thinking almost as soon as I got there

The Gearagh has a really interesting history for anyone interested.
Like I mentioned last week I’ll be posting less often in 2025 but will be writing regularly and sharing more recorded mindfulness practices throughout the year.
