Hello All
I hope you’ve been keeping safe through all the recent weather warnings - it feels like there has been one every second week for the last few months - and not stressing too much about the Christmas period.
This week I’ve been looking back on the posts I’ve shared this year and thinking about what would be most valuable to reshare. Below is an article on How to Pay Attention from back in February that includes a guided body scan meditation (ignore the section on the Introducing Mindfulness course as this is out of date).
One of the reasons this particular post stood out when looking back is because I feel like I’m re-learning how to pay attention myself lately. With all the busyness that comes with starting a new job and working on a few different projects in my spare time I’ve found myself pretty hit and miss with my own practice and probably needing to make more time for my own daily meditation.
It was interesting too to look back and almost immediately start judging what I had posted…
“The audio for the narration is bad”
“I should have phrased that line better”
“This paragraph needed to be before that paragraph” etc. etc.
…and have to remind myself that yes some of those things could have been done better but there’s nothing can be done about them now so getting lost in “shoulda, woulda, coulda” is a waste of time.
The article and guided meditation are below. I hope you get something from both and as always feel free to leave a comment or get in touch if you have any questions or observations.
